LUMI is a mobile wellness app designed to help users cultivate mindfulness, track mood patterns, and build healthy daily habits. The project focused on creating a serene, intuitive interface that supports calm interaction and encourages consistent engagement.
The design process began with deep user research, identifying the need for a minimalist, emotionally supportive experience. The app had to feel like a digital sanctuary—something users would want to return to daily without friction or overwhelm.
LUMI’s interface features soft gradients, generous white space, and rounded elements to create a sense of calm and openness. Each screen is purposefully designed to minimize cognitive load while enhancing usability through gentle animations and clear visual hierarchy.
Smooth transitions and micro-interactions guide users through core tasks like journaling, breathing exercises, and habit tracking. The app uses subtle haptics and progress-based feedback to reinforce positive behavior without disrupting the user’s focus.
A modern sans-serif typeface ensures clarity at every scale, while the color palette—rooted in lavender, sage, and muted peach—was chosen to evoke calm, warmth, and trust. Light/dark mode support ensures comfort at any time of day.
LUMI strikes a careful balance between functionality and emotion. The final product is a user-centered wellness tool that not only looks beautiful but actively supports mental clarity and positive daily rituals.
